Colombian Presidential Election Run-Off

Presidential elections were held in Colombia on 27 May 2018. As no candidate received a majority of the vote, a second round will be held on 17 June.Incumbent President Juan Manuel Santos is ineligible for re-election, having already served two terms. The elected candidate will serve a four-year term from 7 August 2018 to 7 August 2022.
Conservative lawmaker Ivan Duque (Democratic Center) finished first with 39 percent of the vote. Gustavo Petro (Humane Colombia), a former senator and Bogota mayor, received 25 percent.
