The 2021 presidential election in the Republic of Congo takes place on March 21, 2021, to elect the President of the Republic of Congo for a five-year term.

Candidates

Seven candidates are in the running. Sassou-Nguesso is nominated candidate of the Congolese Labor Party (PCT) at the end of a congress organized in December 2019 and announces his candidacy on January 23, 2021.

Guy Brice Parfait Kolélas is designated candidate of the Union of Democrats humanists Yuki (Yuki-UDH) on 1 st February.

The electoral campaign begins on March 5, 2021, under the aegis of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CNEI).
