The 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election will take place on November 6, 2018, concurrently with other statewide and local elections to elect the next Governor of the U.S. state of Georgia. Incumbent Republican Governor Nathan Deal is term-limited and thus cannot seek reelection to a third consecutive term. The primary elections were held on May 22, 2018, and a primary runoff was held on July 24, 2018, between Republican candidates Casey Cagle and Brian Kemp.
