The latest Opinion Way poll, as of Friday 10th March 2017 (today), shows support for Le Pen is stable at 26%. Macron is up one point 26%. Fillon is down to 20%.
It’s the first time this poll has shown Macron and Le Pen so close.
Socialist candidate Benoit Hamon is down one point to 14%.
Far left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon (who Hamon tried to pinch to fight on his side) is up one point at 11%.
Polls continue to show that both Macron and Fillon would defeat Le Pen in the second round.
In the Macron -v- Le Pen scenario, Macron’s lead is up one point in the second round (65% vs. 35%). In the Fillon -v- Le Pen scenario, Fillon stands to win against Le Pen (60% vs. 40%).
Le Pen continues to lose momentum if facing Macron in the second round.
