Inspirations: Maya Angelou

This weekend I was at a school in Ham, South West London, to take my son Oscar to a chess tournament.  When I got there, I saw this quote written on the dining room wall and it made me smile for it is very, very true.  I couldn’t be happier that it was displayed in a school for young people to consider and I, in kind, forwarded it on to the headmistress at my son’s school.

Here are the words, as I found them, along with a photograph of the Grand Master who was supervising the tournament.  Young and old and the wisdom that flows between the two.
