‘The present and the past are perhaps both present in the future and the future is contained in the past”.
TS Eliot was an American born poet who moved to the UK in 1914, age 25. He revoked his US citizenship to become a British citizen in 1927, age 39 and has many, many famous poems to his name. The quote above made me think about the importance of looking to the past and learning from it instead of making the same mistakes again.
